At Tara Precision, we are equipped to design and manufacture custom metalwork and parts, architectural fittings, structural components and complete assemblies of metals, glass, plexiglass and wood products.

Tara Precision opened for business in 1995, when Ian Duddy, a skilled tool-and-die maker with a career’s worth of experience, saw that BC’s emerging high-technology industry needed a local supplier of precision enclosures and fittings. The company’s client list quickly grew to include Creo Inc. (now a division of Kodak), Carmanah Technologies, Power Measurement Ltd., Hydrogenics Test Systems, Forest Technology Ltd., Xerox Canada Ltd., and many others.

As markets evolved, we adapted and expanded our capabilities to serve the architectural and transportation sectors. Today, we operate a comprehensive design and manufacturing facility where we create everything from precision components to transit shelters. Custom product development is a major portion of our business, because we listen to our clients and create specialized solutions that precisely suit their needs.

We build everything ourselves, from the smallest custom component to complete structures. None of our subassemblies are manufactured offshore. Whenever possible, we use BC-sourced materials, including BC forest products.

Although we are not a large manufacturer, we operate with efficiency and accuracy: our assembly, testing and shipping procedures are integrated though the Six Sigma process.
